Forever 21 for Hello Kitty

I went to my favorite FOREVES XXI two weeks ago for the initial launch of the HK line. I'm actually surprised at how well controlled I was. First I picked up a zillion things, i.e. HK leggings, HK leg warmers, HK scarf, HK cropped tee (just to name a FEW). I was super impressed at the prices! Tee shirts for $10, sweaters for $20! If you go anywhere else for HK clothing you're paying 30 dollars and up! It's interesting how simple the design is, yet it makes a huge difference. I often get tired of the pink bow stuff, so when they do something different, stylish, and nice! I get very excited.

When it came down to it, as a collector, I decided to pick out a few items that I knew were too good to pass up. This is one of them:

I must say, lately I'll look around my room and I'll see all these things and wonder if I'm wasting my money. The answer I've come up with is No. I enjoy collecting sanrio because it is and will always be my one link to childhood/innocence. For me, they were happy times and memories. If you can find happiness in whatever you like, even if it is material, enjoy it while you can (as long as you're not hurting anyone) ((who deserves it hehe)). Luckily for me, I am still enjoying it in my 26 years. Without further ado, some pix of my room.

this box thing is from 03'. Wasn't sure what to put in it once I bought it. It continues to hold CDs I no longer listen to.
I've had this piggy bank since I was 10. Bought it from a yardsale. Just a couple of years ao I decided to give it a touch up with some colored sharpies and now it looks brandnew! The owl buddies and llama are pictured as well.
I bought this mug in some place on Valley for 16 Bucks! I love hello kitty on the Elephant!!!!

Lost Treasure

My boyfriend's dad found this for me at his job! It was on top of some air vent they were fixing. I had some family visiting this week and it just so happens my cousin's husband is a Jeweler, so I had him take a looksie. He said it's 14 carat gold! To be honest I can't tell the difference until it starts to rust ;p
Anywho, I am in love with it. I normally don't wear bracelets but now I will! My cousin in law (?) is going to fix the chain so I don't lose it and he's also going to move one kitty down! (It's missing a Kitty) YAY!

Bag Charm

Purchased this a couple days ago. Originally $19.50. I held back on buying this for quite some time because it was so darn pricey @__@
However, I recently purchased a new leathery purse, so it made sense to adorn it with something cute! Totally justified.

Inexpensive Kitty

Small pouch, $2.20 at Tokyo Lifestyle. They have a good variety of HK goods for the frugal kitty buyer. I like to go to this store to buy mostly things I know I can't get at regular Sanrios. They have cheaper pens, pencils, pouches, and erasers. As well as some other interesting HK oddities: tiny ziplock bags (next post) that resemble drug baggies. Everyone knows how expensive HK stuff is getting and since our economy sucks big time, it's good to cut back on the HK dollar!

Wallets

I have lots of wallets which I switch every few weeks. This one is my fave so far this year. I am not too keen on glitter, but look at the story of kitty life plastered all around! So many things going on! There's a rather small light house on a small island, and a turtle with an apple on it's back. Mimi is on a roller coaster, chef bear is flipping some wieners as roller skater mouse looks on. Kitty's pop is smoking his pipe, ginormous apple next to squirrell... and so on!

LV Inspired Print

Vivitix is Sanrio's "Grown up" line.

I got this bag brand new for ten dollars in a yardsale back in 02'. As soon as I saw it I thought of LV and had to buy it. I have one other HK bag that has an LV inspired print. I'll take a picture of that later. I'm debating whether I should sell it on Ebay or not. I haven't used this bag in years!

I love when Sanrio makes purses inspired by designer bags, i.e. Loungefly Patent Bags. Which reminds me, I need to own that small Patent Bag >:D The super tiny one!
